Dr. Elizabeth Dunn is a professor at the University of British Columbia with research focusing on happiness, self-knowledge, affective forecasting and implicit social cognition. She received her Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Virginia before coming to UBC as Assistant Professor. Her research has gained her many media talks, including a TEDx talk looking at the value of time and the problems it can cause. Along with her TEDx talk, she has published multiple journal articles and is the co-author of the successful book Happy Money: The Science of Happier Spending, along with Dr. Michael Norton. Dr. Dunn has also been the recipient of several grants and awards, including the John Templeton Foundation New Paths to Purpose grant in 2013 and serves as a fellow of the Society for Personality and Social Psychology (SPSP).
